Our Precious Sophia turned 100 days today. In the Korean culture families celebrate a child's 100 days. This was done because most babies would not survive and if a baby made it to 100 it was cause for celebration. I came home early from work to help prepare dinner and I was surprised to find that Albert had already bought decorations (wall hanger, plates, and napkins) that surrounded the theme of 100! He is such a thoughtful father (dads take note!)
I cooked a traditional Korean dinner consisting of Korean BBQ beef and pork, jop chae, rice, kimchee, mandoo (pot stickers), and Eden made sushi. For dessert we all ate yummy cheesecake. Sophie received a precious plant mobile/projector from Mommy and Daddy, a new outfit and blanket from Gma Belle, and a frame that says Happy 100 days Sophia from Grandma and Grandpa with her picture in it. Wish you were here to have celebrated with us!
It has been just a short time from when I first held you till now. Look at how much you have grown and will continue to grow! You fill every heart with such love and happiness that has come in contact with you. You have such a wonderful life laid out ahead of you and I can not wait to see all the great things the Lord has in store. We are truly blessed to have such you for a daughter. Thank you coming into our lives. We love you so much!
Love, Mommy, Daddy, Uni Eden, and Ate Emma
If you would like to give Sophie well wishes or blessings, please leave them in our comment section. I will make sure and save it for her baby scrapbook. Thanks!
