Update # 2

So I went in for my doctor's appointment yesterday and nothing has changed. The baby is growing on track (not to small/not to big) and I am still uncomfortable. The contractions are still coming, infrequent and annoying. My cravings for sugar are increasing and have to say I have been cheating on my diabetic diet a lot more. I am just counting down the days, hours, minutes till the baby arrives!

I got a call regarding our house and they are saying we should be ready to sign and move in by Feb. 13th. This is a week later then I anticipated but happy none the less. We will be celebrating Valentines day in our new house, hopefully with a new baby too.

Kid's update:
Emma has learned all of her alphabets now and can say all of the letters except W and X. She hasn't quite figured out how to make the sound. She knows all of her colors and can say white, pink, blue, and yellow. Last night I was pointing to things that were white and asking Emma what the color was. I pointed to a flower, our bed sheets, and my teeth to all she replied WHITE. Then I pointed to Albert's teeth and she paused and then looked at me... I whispered to her that it was yellow and she laughed. Hahaha! Poor Albert, we pick on you too much!

Eden has been sick lately with a deep cough and raspy voice. She is either walking to school or riding her bike. She doesn't want her parents to drop her off anymore. I think she is at the age where parents are uncool. She is still doing very well in school and reading a lot in preparation for her competition. She has grown up so fast and has blossomed into her own self and personality. She will be getting my LG ENV phone which allows her to text. That just opens up to a whole new can of worms but we trust she will be responsible.
Other then that, we have just been going through our days just waiting in anticipation for things to come. Before you know it, we will be to busy to do anything else. We will keep you posted!

update

It seems as though everything in our family's life happens all at once. Take for instance us making the decision to move to Oregon. We decided to float my resume in Oregon and within 2 weeks, I had 2 interviews lined up. Once I got the job, we found someone to assume our lease and had to be out of our place by the end of the month AND I found out I was pregnant. That was a chaotic and stressful time for us but we managed, thanks to God's provisions and everyones help. We couldn't have done it without you!
I am finding myself in the same predicament... I just came back from my doctor's appointment and found out I am 3 cm. dilated. This is not a huge shock since I was the same way with Emma for 4 weeks but we are trying to close and move into our new house BEFORE the baby arrives. All of our baby things/furniture have been stored in our PODS and I do not feel prepared at all. Only God knows how this will all pan out. Please pray for us.

Update:
Baby (we still do not know what we are having and no we will not disclose our name choices)
I am measuring 36 cm. from pelvis to top of uterus (normal and on schedule)
The baby is weighing around 5 pounds
the baby's heartbeat came in at 136
the baby is in position, head down
Mommy is 3 cm. dilated, 50% effaced
Feeling mild contractions about 3 to 4/hour
hard to walk, sleep, eat, and work
Blood sugars are within range, cheating on my diet from time to time
major cravings lately: oatmeal cookies, decaf starbucks with splenda, fruit juice
Eden just found out she is allergic to shrimp, breaks out in hives all over her face (poor thing)
Eden has started riding her bike to school but mostly walks the bike because there are so many hills. I think the bike is more for looks since most of her friends ride bikes to school.
Eden has finished #2 out of 5 books she will need to read for Battle of the books on March 14.
Emma is learning her alphabet and numbers, she likes to try and spell things and say the number 2! Ask her how old she is...
Emma is talking a lot more and will refer to herself as Emma (she use to call herself baby)
Emma is also infatuated with the color pink and has asked for a pink hooouuusssseeee...
Emma thinks Mommy is carrying a "ball" under her shirt and does not want a baby
Albert has been working on his business (statementstacker.com) and it has grown steadily.
Albert hair has grown out and he needs a haircut. Hasn't cut his hair since September!
Albert has been handling the pressures of his various responsibilities well. A big change to becoming a house Dad/husband.
We have submitted our loan papers and have been approved for our house.
We purchased a new washer/dryer and fridge at Lowes
We (I am) are daydreaming about decorating and watch HGTV all the time
We are expecting to move in by Feb. 7th

I think thats it!

Where our Future Begins...

OUR HOUSE!
This is the front of the house, obviously. It's 2811 Square feet, 4 bedrooms plus a den upstairs, 2.5 bath. It has a deck outside in the backyard that over looks the court behind us. It's on a corner lot too!
This is the dining room.
This is the family room with a corner gas fireplace. Above it is where they have cable hookups for a TV.

Joy's favorite area of the house, the kitchen! It has an island in the middle, with an electric stove. If we could, we'd make it a gas range, but we can't right now.

I'd like to post up more pictures of what the upstairs looks like, but I'd like to take "better" ones... LOL

I want to thank everyone who prayed for us. I know that it was through God's will and His timing that we were able to get this house. We've seen this neighborhood before, but we never went in it. It wasn't until we started looking in that area that we finally realized that we really liked the area. It's quiet, not many cars drive through there, and I would feel safer if my kids were outside playing.

God is good! All the time!

Happy 8th Anniversary, Congrats to Eden, and Baby Shower! What a day!

Today marks the 8th year anniversary of Albert and my relationship. We met on Dec. 15th at Starbucks, went on our somewhat first date to the movies with Inay and Nikki on Jan. 3rd and became an official couple on Jan. 8th, 2001. We have always celebrated this day as our "original" anniversary with the addition of our wedding anniversary. It has been a wonderful and growing courtship and marriage. We knew very early on that it was love at first sight and it has continued to be this way. God has truly blessed me by providing such a great husband and father. Albert, I love you!

Eden shared some great news today. Her reading team beat all the other teams at school in their reading competion and now are headed off to regionals for another round of competions in March. She will have to read 15 books from an approved list and her and her team must answer questions realted to the books they have read. We are all so proud of her and how well she is doing both at school and at home. She is a great daughter and the best older sister any one can have!

My co-workers are throwing me a baby shower today. I am excited since technically this is my "first" baby shower. I have gone into pre-term labor with both Eden and Emma which squashed baby shower plans. I am impressed I have made it this long without any problems. I will update after the shower. Stay tuned!

UPDATE
I had a great time at my shower. I received lots of great gifts for the baby. I received a couple of cute blankets and clothes, a set of colorful monkey socks, shoes, and a gift card to Target. My mother, grandmother, Albert, and the girls attended and all had a great time. I had my doctor's appointment the next day and everything is going well. The baby is growing on track and I am doing fine.
